TECH=NO GLITCH GONE RIGHT!
Yes, it’s all true and all good! What did I learn, well there are some “looking back” lessons to point out, such as make sure that you have a clear and reliable line of communication , preferably not calling over Bluetooth if possible! Yes, this was a one-off…thankfully! It may be old fashion, yes that’s me…I still believe in making sure that you plan your calls to clients, customers or really anyone when there is time with quiet space to dedicate to the call. It’s respectful and truly if you are taking the time to place the call…warranted. Sure this was a funny example of working in the moment and that will happen, especially in these times. However, looking back and moving forward…practice strong business etiquette for quality calls and communication. { OH, oh…and…do not, please do not talk on speaker phone on your cell or land line-it’s so very tacky. Whew! I feel better now! }
This truly was so funny, is one of my most favorite client couples where our inside joke gets us smiling ear to ear to this day. They are amazing, good, kind people and even if the call would have gone another direction…I took action and placed the call. It’s my job, it’s what I’m trained to do (thank you Mike and Coach Julie) yet sometimes it doesn’t seem so easy. We have talked about the worst four letter word in the world before (F-E-A-R) and how debilitating that can be to your life, goals and dreams. By taking action and showing up you diminish and eviscerate it! There are two more valuable take-aways for you!
Be brave, follow your instincts and go for it! That For Sale By Owner (FSBO) sign in the yard was literally a sign for me to step up and take action for providing strong representation for the client-to-be, but also for reminding me that I am that brave and can step out of the comfort zone with pizzazz!
Have a great day, hope you are enjoying the Sunday comics or funnies as my Grandfather used to call them!
