It was then she began to formulate the idea of creating a business to help other women find their happiness, own their ability to be happy and all the power that is associated with it. Tamika talks about her word(s) of the year: Aligned and Louder…(ha, she says she’s already loud!), seriously though, she talks about going through the cycles of our journey and sometimes we need to hear something several times before it takes root. What makes one happy…is it your work, is it coffee or comfy blankets, are you an early riser or a night owl-what makes you happy…?
Bibliophile {Book Lover!}: She studies personalities…get ready Silhouettes! Tamika shares that she is a Enneagram 7: The Enthusiast (for life). She needs structure or lese she just might take a road trip to fill the void! She needs variety, Mondays are her “Me Days” learning or doing something for her own self development or personal appointments, then the other week days she keeps it pretty structured. Starting the day with eight ounces of H2O…takes care of the family, then journaling, meditating, learning something. Tamika loves books {Belle is her favorite Disney Princess and if you know anything about Belle…she is a free spirit, proud bibliophile (book lover!), inspiring, beloved, caring and straight forward}…so she likes to have books around and if all else fails audio will do. She doesn’t enjoy working out, but she does! She also schedules in speaking engagements, charity event, seminars…and sure, of course, she is also writing a book!
Her Secret: Busy is the ultimate “B-word”. Mic drop! Tamika breaks down how she is able to get it all done in the time she has, time management. She speaks about how she uses her 16 hours, she is particular and knows her priorities. In addition, she is hyper aware of where her energy lies, 10AM-9PM-watch out. While technology is a great convention, using a Google calendar, she also uses a paper calendar with all of the highlights for different events. Tamika mentions that free time is needed too! The beach is calling. Asking the hard questions of yourself on how to find your “on time” or your own energy. Be aware of your best and worst times of day, she calls it “hyper-aware”. Tamika talks about replenishing her energy when in need of support by collaborating with her husband, mentors or her two specialty teams: Life Team and Vent Team. Wow, that’s a new one…Tamika has people that she can call who will allow her to release the problem, issue or stress-not solve it per say, just release it. Pretty cool.
Fun bonus tips: Feng Shui. No clutter. Be hyper aware of what you see, listen to and take it.
