There is so much in light…so, so much inspiration and joyful opportunity in Julie’s Silhouette of Success journey, Episode No. 64...so much, I feel like a kid in a candy store trying to make a selection for this Sorority Session!
I’m going to go a little rouge though, yet inspired by her, as if that’s a surprise! In light of recent, and actually so many past reflections and now Julie’s Episode No. 64, it seems we have a glittering golden common thread of light weaving all of this together-stay with me here! If you have been with us from the beginning, catching up or just joining us, first welcome and to those who have enjoyed the past episodes from the inception along with the Sorority Sessions have heard my stance that nothing is accidental. Magical encounters, serendipitous moments 100%…but nothing is accidental! Nothing is wasted.
Drumroll please…that brings me to Dolly, oh Dolly {Parton} has been with along this journey so many times. She is light that radiates for all to see. She was with me before I knew who she was, she is with so many of our Silhouettes and to watch her continue to spread light to millions is breathtakingly encouraging! I have stories, tie ins and oodles of joy when she comes to mind! As many know, I just wrapped up one of my passion side gigs as Property Master for Robert Harling’s, Steel Magnolias play. There are countless, countless scenes and lines from Truvy Jones, Dolly Parton’s character that evoke emotion of laughter, real life and of course tears. But it’s Dolly herself that makes her character so loved.
As I mentioned, there are not accidents on our journeys…it was the most ideal timing for us to visit with Julie when we did and only to find out her “pandemic puppies” are named Dolly & Jolene! And the cherry on top…she has a life size Dolly Parton stand up in the (JuJu’s Knits ) Yarn Shop. Once again…perfection! Or even if we go way back to Episode No. 26 I was channeling Truvy Jones is setting up a story…beautiful butterfly love shout out to Dolly one hundred times over. It’s more than that however, I found an article about her in a publication (cannot recall which one but I will try and locate it, pretty sure I saved it in a binder) and it was an interview with her about all the projects she was working on during the pandemic-she stays productive, breathing life into her dreams regardless. She has passion, courage and strives to bring happiness to as many people as possible…now, that a goal! In this wild world that can seems so tricky to navigate through the noise, drama, and stress…let’s try and be a Dolly. Let’s try and bring joy, light, happiness, love and kindness to as many as possible, let’s try and be brave, bold and courageous in pursuing the goals in our hearts and tenacious, dare I say relentless in the visions of our dreams. There are many amazing, phenomenal mentors in this world to be inspired by…Dolly is one special lady to me (and so many others!) and I think you are one too! I believe in you, your goals and dreams that are ready to be brought to life or yet to be imagined. Tell us more, share your successes or how can we help support you?
