Jennifer Bartkowski serves as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas (GSNETX) since 2009.
Jennifer is leading business transformation and organizational change at Girl Scouts to be the best organization to help girls thrive in the 21st century. She leads a team of 100+ staff and a volunteer Board of Directors to fulfill mission and vision for 26,000 girls annually. Key priorities include fundraising for a capital and annual campaign, developing a STEM Center of Excellence, transforming staff culture and satisfaction, telling the Girl Scout story to engage new members and investors, and delivering 21st century programs to all girls.
Jennifer is also a graduate of Leadership Dallas, Class of 2016 and a member of Leadership Dallas Alumnae Board. She is also a member of the Dallas Summit and the Social Change Leadership Program/Audre Lorde class. Jennifer is a board member and passionate advocate for Carson’s Village, an innovative, startup nonprofit organization. Jennifer is the recipient of the Dallas Business Journal’s 2017 Women in Business Award and proud that Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas was recognized in 2016 as the Nonprofit of the Year by Dallas-based CNM Connect. Jennifer is the mother of two children and is the proud recipient of the Girl Scout Silver Award as well as the Girl Scout Thanks Badge, recognizing her outstanding achievements as an adult member of Girl Scouts

Storytelling: Jennifer talks about her skill of storytelling that’s critical to sharing the message of Girl Scouts. She shares that Girl Scouts are more than cookies, crafts and camping! Her passion is contagious and evokes a desire to patriciate! Listening to her share her Silhouette of Success, it’s easy to hear her how her participation came full circle confidence, character and courage within. Her career path was defined when she was made aware that she could get paid to do what she was very passionate about, telling the story about giving back and community service-how lucky we all are!
Promise: She finds such promise in our girls, in their leadership, confidence and shaping of their futures. It’s amazing to hear of Jennifer’s legacy and ties with Girl Scouts from her Grandmother, Mother, sisters and daughter. A true legacy of experiences, values, skills and foundational lessons. She has and is helping to nurture generations of girls and leading by example. Such a treat to listen to her story of growing up as a Girl Scout and selling lots of cookies so she could go to camp then fast forward she is now the CEO.
Self-Care: Jennifer shares the value and importance of taking care of ourselves. This is something that she discovered for herself during the pandemic. Taking the time to rest your mind, relax and keep commitments to herself. She spent some dedicated time to learning what she needed in a deliberate way. Focusing on being present with her children and adding to her self-care…spending time with friends where she can be herself in safe spaces…the best!
