Minister Francine McQueen is the Marketing & Communications Manager at The Women’s Center of Tarrant County. She’s responsible for helping communicate the agency’s services to the community through community outreach, print materials and social media. She also serves on the agency’s internal Diversity & Inclusion Committee, which helps The Center stay at the forefront of diversity awareness so that the staff and board reflect the communities they serve and serve their diverse client base effectively.
Fran is also the founder of Divinely Fran Ministries, which focuses on helping others discover their worth and value in Christ by sharing messages of hope, love and transformation. She serves the Straightway Christian Church as the Minister of Music, as well provides social media consulting for small organizations.
She formerly served on the board of The Women’s Center and Girls Scouts and as a member of the Perennial Cultural Club. She’s a recipient of the 2018 National Women of Achievement Profiles of Prominence Award.
CONVERSATION HIGHLIGHT
Divine: Orchestrated by God, early in her professional life she found a passion that allowed her to explore many of the aspects of her work that she loved which was PR (public relations), marketing and communications…she loves to do something new every single day. As a self-proclaimed lifelong learner, she had been seeking her calling and found it at The Women’s Center of Tarrant County that allows her to use all of her skills and also fulfills her both professionally and personally. She grew up in a military family with a structured core, but she has learned over the progression of her life to reflect in her growth.
Walk in Faith: She’s earned to trust your divine path and be in obedience, embracing the growth in her faith with maturity and mentorship. The God nudge, Fran talks about walking along side God and her mission to instill God’s word with as many as possible. Fran has been fortunate with her brother-in-law and his Mother as prominent spiritual mentors in her life that have helped guide her on this journey! Growing in her faith, she has realized that nothing happens by accident and small things that seem insignificant turn out to be very impactful. Don’t minimize the small things, God uses every single thing.
Enough: Confident, she wasn’t always a confident person, as she thinks back it wasn’t confidence bust rather a cover for a feeling of inadequacy. Freeing feeling for her came when reading Psalms 139:14-this scripture changed her. The lightbulb went off, she realized she IS enough! This is when and why Divinely Fran began. It’s not just for women to be reminded but men, young men also need to be encouraged that…we are enough. Getting past “the cover”…sometimes what you see on the outside isn’t always what’s going on the inside…she is accepting and learning to love herself. With her big personality, life of the party persona, she thrives on being home, reading her trashy novel to recharge…and power up! She wakes up every day to do the best job she can and then go to be, wake up and do the same thing in every capacity of her life. She realizes that she is setting a leadership example as she walks her path on this journey.
