She arrived, sat next to me in the one of three open seats left at our table. She enjoyed a sweet treat and put a smile on my face as she daintily used the back of her fork on the chocolate cupcake wrapper as not to waste one precious, delicious crumb. I like this gal!
As soon as the first break, we made our introductions, she had me with her enthusiasm and story! I asked her for a business card and that sealed the deal, we will be friends for life, I’m sure of it!

Did you pep up at the mere sound of her energy? Did you too get swept up envisioning yourself in her Silhouette of Success storyline with her…I was watching her ride away in that station wagon, dust flying! Carolyn is a true testament to the magnanimous power of enthusiasm! What a gift from her to us!
When was the last time that you were completely drawn in by someone that was so jazzed about life, a topic or their calling? Is it you, a friend, family member or infomercial personality? Sometimes we feel it too then, let’s be real, sometimes it’s all we can do to get out of bed-then we must run it around and muster the smile, remember the goals…power back up!
There are so many layers of all of our Silhouettes of Success VIP Featured Guests, that’s what it’s all about. The layers upon layers of life, lessons, experiences, triumphs, broken hearts, crushed or realized dreams but only to keep going…why, because they are on a mission! So are you! Not everyone can truly identify that infamous and rather illusive “why”, but we all know the feeling of success at the milestones and when we achieve a goal, maybe its recognition-that’s the leading motivation for humans after all! The common theme I hear from our Silhouettes and many prominent role models is put a smile on your face, follow a passion (or something close as you work to discover it!), lead your life with enthusiasm, it is contagious. That’s a good kind of contagiousness! What a gift you give others, and yourself!
What will your day bring, will all of your plans work out as you imagined, will everything go exactly how you invasion it today…maybe, maybe not but it’s all about how you react to it-with a smile or dramatic fit, how you approach the challenge-learning lesson or curl up in a corner, how you solve the dilemma-review the issue and seek options, how creative you become in finding a new path or resolution…how can you improve your odds both for yourself and those around you-with enthusiasm! Try it out, stick with it, muster it up if its lacking and employ its power of awesomeness to your day!
