What was it about Kimberly’s Episode No. 45 that resonated or inspired you?
In anything we do, most all of us have either been taught, trained or at the very least heard that preparation is key to successfully reach your goals. Some received or obtained a very formalized education, some a combination of formal with hands-on opportunities and others, it was learn as you go. In any of those cases or a combination of, all that matters is that we grasp the concept. In its most basic form, the act of preparing for anything is critical. We do it more than we realize in even the smallest tasks or daily routines…it’s a habit. Think about your morning routine, it takes preparation and over time has become a habit. You might get up and have a skin care routine or me, it’s a get the house up and going out the door routine, even making a pot of coffee…you are preparing the coffee to enjoy it (and keep you going!). Think about your day no matter if you are working within the household or outside, if you are a student or retired…there is a lot that goes into your preparation of what you do!
When I asked Kimberly about writing her book, it fascinating that she is now able to identify the phase of her journey where she was in preparation mode, of course, not knowing it at the time, such a joy to reflect back and connect the dots. Nothing is wasted! I have been enthralled lately in doing just that…connecting the dots. It’s exciting to see how we arrive to be in the moments we are in the presently. If you are where you desire, hip hip hooray, if you still have some things to get accomplished…keep going! I know that hearing Kimberly so artfully share that portion of her Silhouettes of Success journey, it reminded me once again to stay focused, put in the time, do the hard work in preparation for the desired outcome.
