EPISODE 36
SILHOUETTE OF SUCCESS | SORORITY SESSION
In this Sorority Session:
Don’t know how…find a comfy place and dig in!
Let’s review the Conversation Highlights:
Variety | Nurturer | Gratitude
I have been there (and will be again!), you have been there at some point…if not right now! Sharla nails it when she talked about different ventures that interested her but wasn’t sure about how to accomplish, achieve or launch the project.
So, let’s you and I find a quiet, uninterrupted comfy spot, grab your device or notebook+pen along with any research materials and favorite notions to support your zen mode…don’t forget the hydration (water of sparkling rose` works wonders for me!)-let’s dig in.
Where does one begin when you are fearful, stuck or dare I say overwhelmed but motivated or excited about the opportunity?
Well, one small step then another, and another…before you realize it-you have a strong foundation established. We will visit today with the understanding that you have already worked through your “why’s” for taking on this next venture in your journey…
- What’s your goal or objective
- Is there a hard deadline, if not set a definitive timeline with milestone dates
“A goal without a plan is just a wish” by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry
- Who are you serving, helping or what challenge are your solving
- Is this a totally new subject or industry, if so…research the tops of the industry, the locals and who do you know that has experience in the field that you could reach out to? Who can connect you with someone that would help guide you, consider an informational interview. Get the nitty gritty from someone “in the know” and leap ahead in your research!
- Make the calls…go prospecting old school and dig!
- Ask the questions…loose your box (a.k.a=EGO!), thank you Sondra!
- Dig in, get out there and gather as much as possible then take action, do something to fulfill your goal! Remember nothing is perfect…something is better than nothing!
Are you still as jazzed as you were when you thought about this venture…yes, great-keep going! If not, go back to your “why”…does it need to take a different direction, was it thought through enough in the early phases, have you discovered that it’s not what you thought it might be, do you need additional help or funding-no matter the hurdle or red tape as Sharla spoke about encountering…press on or re-think it. We can do hard stuff!
No matter your decision on this venture; making a decision is better than floundering, procrastinating or worse not making a decision! No regrets allowed!
I believe in you!
