There are no accidents in life, serendipity now follows me and I’m embracing every sprinkle of glittery fairy dust. As you read this, I have fallen behind in my postings (have you heard about the real estate market lately ) and time has lapsed so I am backdating this to fall in line with Episode 27. Why tell you this…because in the time that passed from the release date of Episode 27 and today, a true life example of Morgan’s dedication and staunch advocacy for supporting the community took place in front of my very eyes. So, perhaps it’s serendipitous that I fell behind and now I have another opportunity to share with you (AGAIN!) just how awesome she is…she walks the walk!
Picture it, as Sophia of Golden Girls begins her stories: it’s 26 days out from the largest fundraiser of the year for a local Fort Worth nonprofit that I work with and I’m a Committee Chair Shadow this year-pretty cool! As with everyone, our event was cancelled in 2020, so this has been a long, intense build up to the event. We are in the final stretch of planning and logistics. Everything is falling into place, marketing is out, social media posts are gorgeous, donations and sponsors stepping up, successful ticket sales, productive meetings plus Mayor Betsy Price (Silhouette of Success Episode 15) will be our VIP Guest Speaker…we are rocking-n-rolling!
BAM-we were faced with a serious, terrible situation to quickly handle.
It took ONE email outreach to Morgan to share the situation and she stepped up in a B-I-G way. When I say, big…I mean BIG. We encounter good folks that are plugged in to the community, but it is a very special person that really, truly walks the walk and steps in 100%. Morgan is that woman.
I met Morgan at my friend Claudia Beeny’s (Silhouette of Success Episode 13) House of Shine | Peace, Love Shine event this past February and once again, I’m forever grateful for the magical encounters of these fabulous women who walk the walk. There are no chance encounters, stay with me on this Silhouette of Success journey as we continue to uplift, motivate, support one another and share the magical glitter fairy dust!
