Helen Stephens founded Aspen Wealth Management in late 2011. Helen has been a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional since 1993 and is also an Enrolled Agent (EA) as well as a Certified Exit Planning Advisor. She has 30 years of experience in the field of financial services.
Helen is frequently a speaker on the subject of Women & Money. She received her undergraduate degree in finance from the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University (SMU), and has been quoted in many publications, including The Wall Street Journal, USA Today and the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.
Helen is an active member of DFW Financial Planning Association (FPA), National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA), and the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce. Helen has been actively involved with Trinity Habitat for Humanity, recently serving as board president.
With all of these professional pursuits, her greatest joys are her husband, John, their three children and dog Baxter.

Plan: P-L-A-N for financial security, well-being. Big, Ah-Ha moment: Helen and her team have their annual strategic business planning in the summer months after they have rested and regenerated. So wise! She also explains how women statistically speaking, live longer and we should be as prepared, as possible. She has an awesome point on how women tend to have more “breaks” in our careers, as we are typically the care takers. Wow…think about that.

Self-Care: Health and wealth completely go hand-in-hand. Take care of yourself. Grab your coat, get a dog and go for a walk or get some exercise. Entrepreneurs are hard-charging people, so make sure your downtime is protected to be your best self for everyone…especially for yourself! It might take practice to get into the habit of carving out the time to take care of you.
