Dr. Claudia K. Beeny has spent more than thirty years working in education, igniting the energy and passion of others. After a successful career in higher education, Claudia left her role to start House of Shine, a non-profit that helps people discover what makes them unique and how to leverage their Shine for the good of their community. Claudia and her team write K-12 curriculum, develop teaching tools, facilitate school assemblies and leadership experiences, and provide custom workshops to people of all ages. House of Shine is opening a physical location in Grapevine, TX in August of 2020 that will lead visitors on a magical journey to self discovery through experiential, hands on exhibits.
Claudia is the co-author of Building a Strong Involving Community (BASIC), a workbook utilized by many in higher education and beyond, for understanding and developing a strong sense of community and reaping the inherent benefits. She is a 2017 recipient of the Legacy of Women Award from SafeHaven of Tarrant County. Claudia is an experienced keynote speaker who has delivered presentations for corporate clients, educational agencies and nonprofit organizations. Throughout her career, she has focused on creating experiences that allow people to connect with their innate talents and gifts, so that they can make a difference in their corner of the world. She is passionate about helping others find their purpose. Claudia lives in Southlake with her husband Richard and two boys, Matthew and Jack. Her oldest son, Ricky, lives in Louisville, Kentucky.

Transition: If you are 5 to 95, then she has guidance for you with the Shine Method, margin of space for finding quiet space to give yourself space and time to think about the life you are living, what parts need change or adjustment to find what your purpose can be. All things in time. The House of Shine space is designed to be a platform to showcase excellence in other people!

Creativity: She wrote six days a week for one year to be able to hear her voice, find content of creative ideas, learning and discovery. The book she recently published is a collaboration of her 13 years of thinking, training, facilitating round the curriculum and concepts she created. The physical space of House of Shine located in Historic Grapevine Texas…also known as The Christmas Capital of Texas. How poetic for a founder her loves Santa Clause and teases of her love affair with him and has been known to sign her name as Santa Claudia!
Develop: She helps us find that sweet spot or point of intersection. Claudia talks about being in her “happy place” when she is in preparation mode for monthly workshops for women called Rise & Shine series are designed to take time to stop and ask yourself questions about whether the life that you are living is really the life that you intended for yourself.
