Have you been fortunate enough to meet someone in your life that captures your attention with full curiosity and inspires you, challenges you to think, I mean really think? How about questioning the perceptions, facts that you thought were factual or the truth in which believed it to be? Well, did you meet Sondra in Episode 25? As I have shared with all of you each of our Silhouettes of Success will uplift, inspire and motivate you…they all have in multitude, Sondra added a new layer! She once said to me when we were preparing for a recording on another project “you do the Q’s and I’ll do the A’s!”. Some of the “Q’s” or questions we don’t even know we want to ask or know to ask until things get rolling with her on a particular subject or topic. It has been an enormous privilege to be in the company of all of our VIP Featured Guests and visiting with Sondra has really upped the ante!
Given that this was a true milestone accomplishment in publishing the 25th Episode of the podcast, it was rather ideal that she was the Silhouette for this show!
Sondra has enlightened me on so many topics and triggered a renewed sense of wonderment for me. How often, especially in the recent years of over saturation of real time-no fact checking-instantaneous flooding of information, influences, content, altered photos, clips, headlines…have you truly paused to research the facts of the subject for yourself. I mean, really took a look into something and dug for the truth or root issue?

Truthfully, how long has it been? We used to question everything as children…why, why, why? Then over time were conditioned and or provided answers to our questions. Stay light hearted with me on the focus here…we aren’t talking about malicious or negativity…just the natural progression of accepting what we are told, provided or privy to at any particular point in time. Now, in the current climate we have all witnessed or experienced a time where what we were told wasn’t near the truth or root cause (no, not talking politics, but it’s definitely applicable too!). It can be something light hearted, not just a deep intensive issue or dilemma. Have you ever heard the expression “slow down to get ahead”? What if we all slowed down a little personal research before passing on information, could we clear up some clutter that’s out there? Sure! Or what if we took some intentional time to review a certain topic that interests us and really, really examined it back to the initial source-very cool. Even if slowing down a little to just pause, reflect out of sheer human curiosity and enjoyment.
Recently I was in a situation that allowed me to experience and enact on the new knowledge in a real time setting. I was able to view the very familiar environment in an entirely new light, through a new lens. I adjusted my behavior accordingly from the knowledge of factual information that was both shared with me to then investigate. The light bulb went off, with gained respect for the environment, participants, process and experience. It is truly exhilarating when you invest in a change of opinion or self-improvement witnessing the modification in a moment by moment real time awareness. It was, as I tried to articulate to Sondra “an out of body experience”.
Whatever you are doing today, have fun with life and stay curious see it through fresh eyes, a blank canvas…question everything and explore something deeper, something that you know…what you think you know! It’s a wonderous world filled with fascinating details all tied together-rethink everything, question everything!
